Kendriya Vidyalaya, Hajipur was established on 3rd Apri 2003 with Class I to Vth (one section each). Thereafter it was upgraded upto Class VIII in the month of Sept. 2003 with one section in each class. The Vidyalaya was started in a temporary building in the Teacher's Training College campus, Dighi Kalan, Hajipur,provided by State sponsoring agency, Distt. administration, Vaishali, Bihar.

The Vidyalaya being situated in the historic capital of Lichhwi, it has its own importance. Due to lack of permanent building & adequate/standard size of rooms, the Vidyalaya has a simple library with capacity of 1515 books. It has a Computer lab.containing 11 Desktop Computers with Broadband Internet facilities. The Vidyalaya has a small ground with facility of Volley Ball & Kho-Khoo.
Two students namely Abhishek Anand & Ketan Anand have been cleared IIT entrance exam. & admitted in IIT.
